Everyday, millions of people visit pharmacy teams for medication and advice. The public have a wealth of information at their finger-tips with 24-hour online media. Pharmacy professionals might be faced with questions about newspaper headlines and media stories. Along with this comes constant advertisement, often about products stocked in pharmacies which aren’t necessarily licensed as medicines.

How do pharmacy professionals keep abreast of these changes, assess the suitability and evidence behind new products or ongoing research into licensed medicines?

This twitter chat offers the opportunity to discuss these important issues along with input from Sense about Science, a charity which supports scientists to help the public make sense of science and evidence, and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS), who have a long-standing partnership.

More about Sense about Science, their early career network ‘Voice of Young Science’ (VoYS)and their #AskForEvidence campaign can be found on their website.

Join us at 8pm on Thursday, April 28, using the hashtags #WePh and #VoYS
